"The motel is good for the price. The staffs were amazing. Entry to the motel is carefully guarded. But it is farther out from all the restaurants in the city central which would be around 25 min of walking distance. There is a family mart about 5 minutes of walk. It is very difficult to get an Uber or yellow taxi in front of the hotel. Unless you have local 55688 taxi app and even that is a bit difficult during downtime. Overall the motel is ok. Needs updating. But the owner is working on...

"Shangri-La Tainan — although the facilities are somewhat dated compared with other five-star Shangri-La hotels, the staff are outstanding and the service is highly professional. "I was glad we had a mandarin speaker with us to call the proprietor when we arrived as we didnt know what to do when everything was locked up. But once we called and he arrived, it was an awesome place to stay. Loved the location in historic Tainan (only street parking a couple blocks away available) and all four of us found it very roomy with a nice shared sitting area/kitchen outside our private room. And free snacks upon arrival. I hope to stay there again some day!"

"Gut renovated boutique hotel. 10min walk from Tainan train station. Walking to historic sites and eatery venues within 15min. Yes I would stay here on my next visit. Minor issue - The first room had tiny mosquitoes on bathroom ceiling. Staff was kind and allowed a change of room. "
