"This is a cracking flat within a short walk of Dumfries town centre. From the outside, the flats don’t look too inspiring, but it’s clearly been renovated recently and it’s been done really nicely. The two rooms are pretty much identical doubles, and the living room/kitchen is a good size. Nice views of the river from most rooms, and a lovely small balcony coming off the main living area. Would definitely come back if in the area."

"A old hotel which is mostly shut down , has some rooms which are clean and comfortable, but you come in off side street and side door. I wouldn't want to stay here as a women."

"For me it was most definitely the staff. Cheryl & Robert. I arrived and was greeted by them both. As a stranger to the area they settled me into the hotel, which is centrally located in the town. When asking for local taxi numbers Cheryl asked where I was going, once told she offered to take me to my goddaughter wedding venue, above a beyond but greatly appreciate. I dined in the hotel on my first night and the busy bar / lounge meal & atmosphere was fantastic with Robert as our host. Sea bass...

"Clean room, excellent breakfast and dinner in the restaurant at very reasonable price and big portions. Close to Dalscone Farm and various other places to keep kids entertained. I booked the deluxe family room although didn’t really know what I was getting due to the lack of pictures online on any website. I would definitely return."
