"I love this hotel. It is perfectly placed on the Neumarkt Square by the Frauenkirche, within the old town. It is a top, top quality hotel with fantastic rooms, an awesome breakfast buffet and roof top bar. The staff are personable, helpful and welcoming. Just spending time at this hotel, with the room window open onto the square and the sound of the church bells peeling, along with the gentle chatter from the cafes and restaurants below is worth the trip to Dresden alone. Wonderful!"

Every request we made was promptly accommodated in a professional and courteous manner. Breakfast and dinner at the Italian restaurant were excellent. "The Occidental Dresden is in a great location. Only a short walk from the main train station and surrounded by shops, cafes and restaurants. The Christmas markets and old city are also close by. Rooms at the hotel are on the small side but the bathroom was functional and a good size. The biggest issue we had was the poor quality of the pillows. They were awful, no support whatsoever. Breakfast was very good."
