Room was clean and comfy and so was the bed, breakfast was really good and the owners were really friendly even recommended somewhere for our evening meal which was an excellent idea, parking was not great as when we came back we couldn't get parked so we parked in the church car park which was a minute walk away, the only downside was there was only a small waste bin in the toilet, one in the room would have been nice, would we stay here again yes we would definitely

Our experience was amazing. We stopped for one night on our outward journey and two on our return. Staff were ultra helpful in terms of accommodating us in extreme heat and making our stay as comfortable as possible. Lovely indoor restaurant and pretty courtyard for outdoor breakfast. Both rooms were charming and setting idyllic with easy access to chateau and parking opposite.

Amazing boutique hotel in a Central Location for city exploring

Ours was a two night stop in Fotevraud on the way south. We booked one of the more comfortable rooms and ate breakfast and the evening meal there. The hotel has been modernised in a very sensitive and smart way around an old 17th century building and is right in the centre of Fontevraud, just opposite the abbey complex, which is the main tourist attraction and very worthwhile to visit. The staff always make this hotel a welcoming stay. We enjoy the friendly atmosphere, attention, and recognition. We would recommend the restaurant which has excellent food with a selection of starters, mains and sweets and with a specials board too. And, of course, a wide selection of beverages including local wine. The rooms are clean, comfy and functional but basic, ideal for a stop over. We come here many times on our journey through.
