We arrived at the bottom of the drive leading up to the hotel. A very steep and challenging drive but worth every centimetre. The views from the hotel are breathtaking. The staff were delightful and helped us with our bags up to a magnificent room. Nothing was too much trouble. My wife is gluten intolerant and they not only provided a suitable substitute but went that extra mile to find something that little bit more special.. Outstanding.

A friendly beautiful hotel

We stayed at the Hotel David for four nights. The staff are welcoming, pleasant and helpful. The cleaning staff did an invisible but excellent job, leaving our room immaculate every day. Our twin room was spacious, with ample storage space, and a large shower room off a small hallway. The bed was very comfortable. There a wide variety of food for breakfast, including fresh fruit and freshly made pastries and cakes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't mind the 15-20-minute walk...

Was a little disappointed with check-in. Receptionist wasn't particularly welcoming - rather, she gave us the impression we had been interrupting her "rest" as she wasn't even at the reception desk and we had to call to get her to come down to attend to us. The room was amazing and spacious. Bed was so comfortable and all in all the room was a dream. Annoyed that we had to go out in the rain to access our room (it was a superior double room), and amenities were very basic and not too pleasant....

Wonderful hotel, helpful and friendly staff and couldn't be situated in a more beautiful place

One of the best hotels I have stayed - small, 'boutique' feel. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff - they seemed to want us to enjoy our stay ! Stayed 2 x one night, so had 2 different rooms - both quite different, but both excellent quality & space. Dinner in restaurant was superb; breakfast buffet excellent. c. 20 minute walk into the centre of Florence, maybe 30 mins to Ponte Vecchio, or use the shuttle bus or taxis. Highly recommended - can't wait to go back !

This is a lovely horel in a quiet area of the old historic area. This staff were very welcoming and gave us a map and gave us advice on restaurants and attractions. A very comfortable bed with lovely linen and fluffy towels. Grat breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel and stay again.

Great experience at Hotel Villa Carlotta. Quiet location with a lovely pool that unfortunately we didn't have time to use. My only note was it would have been nice to have been offered a drink while we were sat by the pool on our first morning but that's a minor minor detail. Loved it and would have loved to stay longer.

shame there is no restaurant in the hotel as the nearest one is like a greasy spoon and not very nice food

This is a lovely hotel with very accommodating and friendly staff. It's situated outside of Florence about 20 minutes by car, however the hotel runs a shuttle bus, but last one back from Florence is at 7.30 p.m. which means you miss the night time atmosphere and views in the city unless you pay for a cab. The hotel is sat in beautiful surrounding and gardens with paved walks through the grounds.

From the moment of arrival to a sad departure we were looked after by the excellent staff at this hotel.The bedroom was clean with excellent room servicing every day. Breakfast was full of marvelous choice from cold cuts to fruit to breads to cooked food-bacon eggs sausage etc. with the staff discretely looking after the removal of finished dishes and glasses etc. Unfortunately the rooftop area was not in use as it was the last week in December but the views were excellent from there over the...

This hotel is a little bit outside the main parts of the city. It will take about 15 minutes to walk to the centre. We have stayed in many different hotels in Florence and Palazzo Lorenzo is one of the best. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated, the Acqua Di Parma products in the bathroom are a nice touch. The staff in the hotel are the best in Florence. They have a 5 star attitude and will go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful little hotel right in the heart of Florence. Giovanni & Nadine are very welcoming and could not do enough to make sure our stay was perfect, they even loaned us umbrellas the following morning when they was a heavy down pour & thunderstorm.. Hotel is very traditional and breakfast was lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

A fantastic location that was close enough to the centre to walk yet away from the noise at nighttime. The staff were incredibly helpful when needed. Breakfast had a great variety. Rooms were exceptionally clean.

Whatch out ebookers doesn't highlight NO BREAKFAST, on specials.

Great location to centre, V good sound installation. Very tastefully decorated. Breakfast, selection, courtyard and staff very welcoming. Would highly recommend
