An excellent small hotel in a rather grand Victorian house on the main road in Callendar. Easy walk into town. Great base for exploring the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Stunning scenery. Recommend going to Lock Katrine, it is beautiful. Loch Lomond was best on its east side, the west side is nearest Glasgow and attracts a lot of people in the summer. The nearby waterfall is worth the walk. The couple who run the hotel are friendly and helpful, and put on the best breakfast we has...

I had a lovely experience staying at the Luib Hotel, Nelly and James were fab hosts also down to earth no nonsense folk. Home cooked food was delicious, I had evening meals and Breakfasts.
The hotel is on a busy main road however this didn't spoil my stay. My room which looked on to the road was well soundproofed , I had a wee well earned nap in the afternoon without being disturbed.

Our host, John was friendly and welcoming, with great local knowledge, and served up excellent cooked breakfasts. Inverardran was an excellent base for a short break in the west central Highlands, with good road connections to many areas of interest.
I would have no hesitiation in recommending this guest house, and would be pleased to return.

It's a great hotel to stay at for hill walking around the area. We had a really nice evening meal and a lovely breakfast. Staff were all very friendly. The rooms were comfortable and the shower was great.
They even have a drying room for your wet clothes if you're unlucky enough to get caught in the rain

Hotel was full when we stayed . Room was quite small , you could just about get in.
However the hotel is superbly situated at the bend in the river Tay , and you can sit outside enjoying the views.

While on a road trip through Scotland, my friends and I booked a room at this hotel, and we were SO PLEASED!! We stayed in Chalets 5 and 6 (members of the Beatles stayed in Chalets 1 and 6 once in 1964) and were really comfortable with lots of privacy and a FABULOUS view of the loch across the street. Breakfast was included in the price and was superb. I'm planning on bringing some family on a Scotland trip soon, and I've already decided we will be staying at The Four Seasons!!

I booked this for a surprise birthday gift, my friend is from Norway and he absolutely loved it. It's like having your own private apartment, the room was spotless and cleaned every day. Great place to stay. Shopping and restaurants within easy walking distance we didn’t use the cooking facilities but there’s everything you would need both shower rooms were great and there’s a balcony to sit out when it’s Warm enough.
There is a flight of stairs to climb so not wheelchair accessible. I’d stay again if I was in the area.

The Arrochar Hotel is delightful. The staff are all friendly and helpful, and the hotel has a homely feel. I was surprised that several residents had dogs with them, so it's a dog friendly hotel. The lounge and bar area is cosy. One can choose to eat dinner in the lounge area near the bar, or in the dining room. Our room was spacious and had a lovely view over the lake. We really enjoyed our stay.

For an affordable getaway, a stay of at least 1 to 2 days is recommended to fully appreciate the area's key landmarks, cultural sites, and natural parks. During this time, visitors can explore historical monuments and enjoy the scenic beauty of the local natural parks, ensuring great value for money. With the possibility that prices might drop further during the off-peak season, it's an excellent opportunity for those travelling on a budget.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover potential last-minute deals to Balquhidder, visit the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Dealsopens in new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on hotels close to your travel date. By staying updated on your preferred hotels, you could be among the first to know if room availability changes or prices drop, making it easier to plan your getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal for your stay at a hotel in Balquhidder. If you're in search of something distinctive, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and could offer better value. When you make a booking through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. Should the price be on the higher side, we can suggest alternative dates that may be more affordable, assisting you in your search for a favourable rate.
Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres can offer convenience, but it often comes with higher expenses. For more affordable rates, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to the places you wish to visit. You may also explore independent hotels located further afield, which are usually likely to be more affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
