"Love staying here when visiting the area. It's a great location and peaceful. The rooms are lovely and great views over the river. A stone's throw from the castle and short walk into town. We love walking along to The Navigation too for a little refreshment! "

"Like the security for the rooms, the facilities and being able to put an evening meal together rather than paying to eat out. Also as i currently work in Newark it's very handy for that. Not to be put off but it's also very handy for shopping, eating and drinking also both the train stations ate within walking distance with Castle Station closer than Northgate. No doubt i'll be sraying again soon."

"We were welcomed by a lady on arrival and taken to our room which was clean and cosy. There was a small area at bottom of stairs with continental breakfast relplenished every morning . All in all no complaints however if you had a problem with stairs then the outside metal stairs would be daunting and inside stairs were quite steep we certainly use again as parking was adequate and pub quaint "

"We booked a little stop over on our way further up north during the school holidays. The hotel could do with a refurb and upgrading but it all in all, we couldn’t complain about the service provided by the staff. We especially received good service at breakfast time by Jane who was very helpful. Swimming, sauna and steam room was good fun for the kids and all of us. "

"Large room with all you’d need for a short stay, but no frills. The decor is a quite bleak. Value for money with the real bonus of private parking and a short drive from the centre of Newark or access the bi-monthly antiques fair at the showground. Excellent Indian restaurant right on the doorstep. "
