Best Western Plus Tigullio Royal Hotel

We found the hotel right in the middle of the town. surrounded by bars and restaurants and a lovely walk through shaded, busy, ally's in the old town. Close to the beach and the ferry to Portofino. Portofino is too busy and full of tourists. The rooftop bar was a revelation. Watch the moon rise over the bay sipping a cocktail. Spot on. No swimming pool, if you are that inclined. Parking is across the street. Had a lovely stay and will return.

Very much enjoyed our week's stay at The Continental. We had a nice sea view room on the second floor with a small balcony. The outlook from this hotel across its beautiful gardens across the bay at Santa Marg. is outstanding whether from the room or having a drink on the terrace. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Great breakfast on the terrace every morning and short walk down the hill to the charming town. So much better than overrated Portafino. Only negative we had was that the hotel sun...

Perfectly placed at the end of the seafront, the Astoria is small and very welcoming. Rapallo town centre is a short walk away as is the railway station. On arrival we were welcomed by Alessandro and Sara who were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a fantastic week. The room, though not huge, was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet was varied and ample for us. Highly recommended.

The staff and position of this hotel make this a great place to stay, Close to the railway without ever being aware it is there, in fact walking is probably quicker than waiting for a taxi, and cheaper :-) Just a few minuted from Santa Margheritas centre with its multitude of places to eat, should you chose to dine out, or grab a pizza or Ice cream, the Ferry and Bus routes, though the Ferry probably a more pleasant ride. A charming characterful villa set in a quiet location just a couple of minutes walk from the sea. Lovely breakfast & the garden setting with tables & chairs was delightful. But the best thing about the hotel was the barman ‘Bruno’ a charming & helpful man who made every evening we stayed there so enjoyable...& boy can he pour a gin!!! Thank you Bruno for the laughter you brought us every night!

Booked last minute so not sure what hotel was going to be like, arrived after travelling all day from Barcelona and was not disappointed, beautiful rooms extreamly spacious, clean and elegant, Sara on reception was very helpful and spoke excellent English, spa,swimming pool and gym welcome treat, pool was not heated as I guess out of season but could still be used, VERY cold, but with warmer weather would be amazing, as views over the port.
