Spectacular views. Clean, charming cabin, tiny but cosy and fully equipped. Welcome gifts, easy communication with lovely landlady Sarah, privacy, peaceful and serene. Hot tub was a huge bonus. Garden with furniture and bbq. Pristinely clean and safe for our small dog. Will be back.

We booked for 3 nights B and B from 28th May. The location was easy to find and we had a choice of two rooms. Both were large double bedrooms with duel aspect views over the local area. We choose the one with the views over the front of the building and the hills beyond. Our hosts were very welcoming and gave us tea and biscuits on arrival. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. It felt like staying in a fairy cottage. We loved it!

It is a peaceful and warm hotel with cleaning rooms, delicious breakfast, especially the balaclavas pudding and sausage which are different from other’s. It is also very convenient to the spots of llangorse lake and waterfalls.

Couldn’t fault Andrea and Ron at Toms of Tregaron. Very friendly, helpful and made you feel at home! Lovely cosy room with a quiet road. The room was also very clean and had all the appliances that we needed. Very comfy bed and nice decor. We were out most mornings before breakfast but the menu sounded lovely! Will definitely be booking again! :)

We have just spent an amazing 3 nights at the Mill at Glynhir. Helen & Matt were fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome. The room was a good size with a very large king-sized bed and a wardrobe containing a very handy fridge which held plenty of complimentary water and fresh milkj for the tea and coffee (top-ups were provided as required). Stayed a year ago and re-booked for this year. Just one night stay, but the service is excellent, and we would like to have a longer stay next time. Our host is very helpful, and the breakfast is just what you need. Our room was comfortable, and the bed is lovely. Might bring the dogs next time to enjoy the countryside.

This is a lovely old hotel that reminds me of old style fishing hotels I used to stay in when I was a kid and every river had a number of hotels that made a good living from visiting anglers. Unfortunately the days of relying on angling trade are gone, but this place retains the same feel and sense of peace and quiet that I used to love. The stay here was amazing. I received a lovely welcome from the new owners Sian and Eifion. The room was beautiful with a view of the fields and river Wye. There was a complimentary tea and coffee tray. With a variety of different coffees, herbal tea and the tea bags in a jar. Not the mandatory two or three and one or two milks. What a beautiful hotel! The decor throughout the hotel has been tastefully designed. Our twin room was spacious with great views of Pen y Fan and a good size walk in shower. The hotel is in a superb location with free parking and easy walking to the historic town of Brecon. Lovely clean comfy room, very accomodating about my late arrival due to traffic. Parking was sufficient for cars. Very good breakfast with plenty of choice. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed for only one night in August 2016 as a stopgap to the north of wales. But enjoyed our stay there tremendously. Mainly due to our hostess Rose, hospitality which added to all Altybrain has to offer in its beautiful, serene and tranquil surroundings.
