We had a fantastic stay, by far the cleanest hotel & room we have stayed in - (& that’s quite a lot!). Excellent food & lovely, helpful staff, Nicole particularly gave top notch service. Very vegan friendly which is hugely appreciated!
Gorgeous hotel & decor. Our cosy room was perfect, not really that small either!
Highly recommend the afternoon tea - we will be back!

Stayed in New Years Eve. Despite being fun off their feet, the staff were polite and service was good. The lady in charge was extremely busy ensuring everything went smoothly. The food was delicious. Very comfy beds. Would recommend.

I don't usually sleep well in hotels but Wharf House was so peaceful and comfortable I slept at least as soundly as I do at home. The room was clean and well equipped with nice touches of luxury toiletries, shortbread biscuits and a mini cafetière and proper coffee and herbal teas in the room. The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive and breakfast was delicious

We had an amazing time and the customer service was really on point. The staff member at breakfast was very funny and friendly. She made our breakfast time fun.
The gym, steam room, sauna and pool were great to be able to use.
Overall experience was really good.
The only recommendation is to sort out the parking. Having to pay for parking as a guest is quite ridiculous.

Great stay lovely hotel in great location. Room was nice but old flooring under carpet so very squeaky when walking around. Lovely comfy bed and very friendly staff. Would stay again. I did begrudge paying £15 to park especially as there is no barrier and no cameras so could have not paid and nobody would have known! Struck of money grabbing in a way. That said we did get a complimentary bottle of wine for our anniversary and red petals on the bed which was very nice touch.

Very helpful staff. Excellent food in restaurant. Breakfasts were selected night before and could be tailored to individual preferences. Gluten free was reasonably catered for.

Beautiful apartment with everything you need and very spacious! Check-in and check-out were very simple, excellent communication and free secure covered parking. The apartment is within walking distance of everything and right by the Quays for outlet shopping. The Waterways museum and the Cathedral were close by and well worth a visit. A certain chain pub also within 5 minutes walking distance for cheap meals so no need to cook! Plenty of other eateries close by too. Highly recommend Elliott...

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Slad
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Slad is during January, February, and October, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those looking to explore the area's historic landmarks, cultural attractions, and natural sites, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This timeframe allows visitors to enjoy highlights such as historic buildings, a history museum, a private garden, and a national park, all of which offer great value for money. Furthermore, prices may drop during these months, making it an excellent opportunity for those travelling on a budget.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To explore last-minute deals to Slad, begin by checking the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Dealsopens in new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, so you’re more likely to see opportunities for savings. Additionally, the Smart Shoppingopens in new window tool available in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you get the best value. If rooms become available or prices drop, you'll be promptly notified to secure your last-minute getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay at the Slad hotel. If you're seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average rate. If the price is on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that may be more affordable, potentially helping you secure a better deal.
Consider your location: Hotels in close proximity to the city centre usually tend to be more expensive; however, with Slad's superb public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well-connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
