Our stay at Walworth Castle Hotel was truly memorable, not just because of the stunning setting, but thanks to the incredible staff who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
Adrian, part of the breakfast team at the 1189 Kitchen & Bar, was friendly, attentive, and made sure we started each morning with a smile. The service was excellent, and his warm demeanor really stood out.

Stopped over on my way travelling back home. Pub was busy on this Friday night, but staff were on hand to welcome me. Very friendly manner and most helpful. As I arrived a little later than planned, I just made it in time to get my food order in, which again the staff were very helpful to assist. I had their steak and ale pie, which was very good and I would certainly recommend this. I overheard a conversation while eating that the person who cooked the food doesn't like to call himself a...

The staff were exceptional and the food abundant well prepared and reasonably priced. The room was clean and comfortable. THe room would have benefited from a chair in the room and my room (pretender) needs privacy film or a net curtain as there are tables directly outside which can see into the room. Orherwise and despite this the stay was exceptional and highly recommended

I stayed here with my partner for a wedding. I got here around midday and fro that point onward everything was fantastic. All of the staff here were so friendly and accommodating, even arranging taxis for us and then keep an eye on them to arrive while we had a beer. We got back around midnight and had a chat with the owner, who again was really friendly.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Hartforth
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Hartforth is between January and March, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those looking to explore the area's key landmarks, cultural sites, and natural wonders, a stay of at least 1 to 2 days is recommended. This budget-friendly timeframe allows visitors to fully appreciate the town's historical monuments, scenic nature reserves, and recreational areas, all while enjoying great value for money. Additionally, prices may drop further during this off-peak season, making it an even more attractive option for travellers on a budget.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Hartforth, start by exploring the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Dealsopens in new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates on hotels nearing your travel date. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, which could help you secure savings. Additionally, the Smart Shoppingopens in new window tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re more likely to see when prices drop or rooms become available, making it easier to plan your last-minute getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on various factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so having some flexibility with your travel dates could help you potentially save on your stay at a hotel in Hartforth. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised atmosphere and sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher end, we’ll suggest more affordable dates that may help you secure a better deal.
Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres may provide added convenience but often comes with a higher price tag. For more budget-friendly options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to your desired destinations. It could be worthwhile to look into independent hotels situated a bit further out, as they are usually more likely to be affordable and can offer a more authentic experience.
