We were lucky to be upgraded to the new spa rooms which are excellent. spacious and well equipped. Location is beautiful with stunning views high up over lake Garda and if you want to get away from it all, its ideal. Dining options were good but some staff were new, food was good but more every day options would be good for residents Could benefit from a social area, bar or similar Be prepared for a 20 minute mountain road drive to access the hotel and visit Gargnano

Just returned from a lovely week at the Excelsior. The hotel is in a lovely position just outside the main town which was ideal as we were less than 5 minutes from the ferries and restaurants but more peaceful (apart from the night when a radio show was being broadcast from the nearest bar, although it wasn't unbearably loud). I chose this hotel as it is a smaller independent hotel with good reviews, it did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel was clean, comfortable and in a perfect location next to the lake. Breakfast was good quality food with a good selection and the views are to die for. Sirmione is a beautiful village in a lovely area, some other picture perfect places were Garda, Malcesine and Limone. It was easy to travel round by hire car and by ferry. I recommend a visit to...

This is a lovely hotel located on the edge of the lake. Ideal stay for a few days, slightly remote so would recommend a car if staying more than 2. Staff were excellent and one of the best hotel breakfasts we have had in a while! Spa is amazing and very relaxing - well worth booking a slot to use this We had an issue or two with our room, but was instantly resolved Would recommend. Pricing is aligned to level of service and stay.

Brilliant hotel, perfect location and very friendly staff.

Great location, breakfast was continental but plenty to choose from . Staff very helpful , used the reduced rate for parking . Will stay again in the future

Excellent food, exceptionally friendly owners and staff, hence we keep returning year after year as do many of the friends from different parts of the world whom we meet there each time. Cannot praise this hotel enough.

Great hotel with exceptional staff. On arrival, plenty of place to park and room was ready early. Room was clean, with excellent linen and quality bathroom. Breakfast was very good - the omelettes were great. We wil be back

Wonderful stay at Hotel Portici. Rooms were reasonably spacious and very clean, ours had a view of the main piazza. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't get a chance to visit the spa so can't comment on that. Excellent location in Riva, just off the harbour area. Easy walking to many bars and restaurants in the evening. Would recommend.

The view from room 602 (Mini-Suite) was jaw dropping and enhanced by the cloudless blue sky, mill pond view of the lake and a backdrop of the mountains with snow caps. Hotel staff were exceptional in their attention to detail from the staff at reception and throughout the facility to the unsung heroes who ensured our stay was without any low points. Relaxing and picturesque hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. Newly refurbished rooms were very clean and comfy. Quiet because you are abit further out of the main town but really easy to walk into Riva del Garda for dinner in the evening.

Amazing hotel loved it and would recommend
