The decor and furniture in the rooms is dated, but I think this is appropriately reflected in the price. Each floor has a stuffed bookcase with a wide range of books which guests can borrow. "Very near to city centre easily walkable distance of 1 km to banks, ATM, restaurants, Small local supermarkets. Local taxis eg Grab, Maxim provides affordable transport instead of relying on buses. Free breakfast is of buffet type & value for money. Breakfast staff are very welcoming & ready to help should you need any. "

"Good location, 10 minutes from airport, 10 minutes from Kuching waterfront and 5 minutes from Aeon Mall, thus easily accessible to most places. However, the hotel did not provide slippers for all 3 nights of our stay, saying that there is no stock and still waiting for a new supply!"

"Meritin hotel is in Kuching Chinatown area with lots of local eateries and pastry traditional shops nearby. The free 103 tourist bus is just 1 min walk from the hotel. A supermarket Everise just opposite the hotel. Room is clean and functional. Recommended."
