My first time at Roc Heights and I will definitely go again next time I am in Gambia. Omar and his team ensured that everything was done to keep me happy in the hotel and safe outside as a solo woman. Being out first time in Gambia, we didn't know what to expect but the hotel made us feel at ease, safe and overall made the holiday a lot better. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the UK can learn from these guys when it comes to customer service. The hotel is very friendly and welcoming, with good quality rooms. The guests are mostly Dutch on package holidays as an independent traveller from the UK I didn't fit into this scene but the wonderfully friendly and interesting to talk to staff meant this was no issue at all, particular thanks to Mariama whose constant smile , service and helpfulness was a pleasure to witness. The breakfast is good too. The only slight downside is the location not being on beachside of the road.

I spent 2 weeks at this hotel with my fiance who travelled from Lagos, Nigeria (I travelled from the UK). I made a prior booking by email to be picked up at the airport, directly with the hotel, as my partner and I were arriving late on a Sunday night. I will definitely come back! The staff are so caring, helpful and kind. They go out of their ways to be sure you have everything you need, whether that’s in your room, poolside, by the beach or in a restaurant. It was a nice and quiet location at Serrekunda. But in my first night some people held a wedding banquet downstairs, with loud music until midnight.
