We were backpacking with my partner across europe, so this was a good choice for that purpose! A note for people traveling with another person: the shower cubicle is in the same room and stepping in or out is not that private"

"Our bedroom was overlooking the Rhein and the window was able to open. Room had air conditioning which was very much needed for nighttime. Staff were lovely and allowed us to check in a little early as our rooms were ready. There was a discount for one meal in the restaurant next door which was appreciated. Boat tours were less than 5 mins walk. Lots of shops behind the hotel and an amazing Jazz Bar. All main shops were about a 10 minute walk away. Central train station was a 10 minute walk...

"Lovely stay in Cologne. The hotel was great and in a good location, easy for local transport connections. Staff all helpful and friendly. Good, big and comfy rooms (we had two family suites) with an excellent range of options for breakfast. Highly recommended as a base for visiting Cologne and the surrounding area. "

"A great stay. Helpful welcoming staff. Sauna and pool were great (but perhaps need a more obvious translation of rules of German saunas for nieve Englishmen). Excellent buffet breakfast. Hotel is brilliantly situated to explore old town. Even lower cost rooms have a nice aspect, I imagine Rhine river view rooms are stunning."

"The location could not be beat! On the river, a few blocks from the Dom and train station. Right in the middle of the Christmas Markets if you are traveling during that time. Room was older and smaller but definitely clean with a good restaurant below that we ate at a couple of times."

"The location is perfect it’s just in front of central station where you can go every where , but also so close to köln cathedral and old city on the Rhein River where all the beautiful sightseeing. My room was Comfort Room and it was adequate to my needs for me and my wife.thanks God that the weather was nice 20 Celsius so I didn’t feel hot as there’s no Aircondition. The staff are so nice and helpful. I do recommend for all cologne visitors. The price is reasonable. But I hope they will add...
