"We had a suite which was beautifully appointed, everything you could need, it was clean and comfortable with lovely products in the bathroom and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was wonderful, it is only served for an hour but well worth it. The property has convenient parking and easy walk to shops,pubs and restaurants. Hosts were lovely."

The staff in particular the lady that checked us in and looked after us during our stay ( sorry I forgot your name) was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. "High Ridge is perfectly situated right in the middle of Ambleside. However, it really does need some TLC. There are damp patches on the walls , the bed linen is rather questionable, & the window blinds are just simply dreadful . They let light in, don’t work properly & are very tatty indeed. The furnishings are of poor quality & there are just far too many dreadful pictures on the walls. The kitchen & bathroom are good but the rest of the property needs a jolly good face lift .
