Maintaining the heritage of the building, this hotel brings absolutely first-class modern food with a bias towards Scottish produce(venison, salmon, etc.)
Our greeting on arrival set the tone of professionalism, friendliness and competence displayed by every staff member. To this great start was added a charming room in the main building overlooking the River Tay. There can be few views from a hotel bedroom nicer than this one
Dining at Ballathie is genuinely an unforgettable experience....

Very good indeed once you realise that you have to do a large detour around the adjacent pub to get in. The presence of a portable fan in the room and the fact that you can't open the window more than a tiny bit may indicate that it could get unbearably hot in the summer. Weather was cold and wet during my stay.

Lovely small hotel with parking. Bed and pillows extremely comfortable. Staff very helpful and allowed us to check in early as we were going to a wedding and wouldn’t be available during the dedicated check in times. Breakfast fresh and delicious. Would definitely stay again.

I was on a business trip and specifically booked the Townhouse on the back of the highly positive online reviews. I wasn't disappointed. From the perfectly-toned welcome from David onwards, I was thoroughly impressed. There are 5 rooms and I was staying in one of the smaller rooms at the top. It was lovely: extremely clean, well designed and furnished throughout, very comfortable bed and lots of extras, such as the fruit, shortbread, proper coffee etc. Breakfast was exceptional and, overall, the...

We were looking to stay at Pitlochry but all was booked out so booked the Bridge of Cally because it was the closest we could get. What a great piece of luck it turned out to be, very friendly hotel, lovely location on the river, (make sure you go for a walk) staff were helpful and happy, good breakfast and the restaurant meals in the evening were top chef level!!! We had some of the best restaurant meals we have had in the UK here even better than a "5 star" Cornwall restaurant we went to...

Friendly welcome. Clean, comfortable room. Great breakfast. Very happy stopping here and would do again. The only negative is limited parking, but that close to the city centre, it should be expected. Paid parking off-site around the corner was fine for me.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Kinclaven
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Kinclaven is during January, February, and December, when hotel prices are lower. To truly appreciate the area’s historical landmarks, cultural attractions, and scenic countryside, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This duration allows visitors to enjoy delightful dining options, relax by the river, and engage with the friendly locals. Whether you're fishing, savouring fresh seafood, or seeking a romantic getaway, Kinclaven offers great value for money and plenty of budget-friendly activities. Prices may drop during these months, making it an ideal time for those travelling on a budget.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Kinclaven, start by exploring the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Dealsopens in new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on accommodation near your travel date. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special last-minute promotions, increasing your chances of saving. The Smart Shoppingopens in new window tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re more likely to see any drops in price or availability, so you can seize the opportunity for a spontaneous getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate due to various factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates might help you save on your stay at a hotel in Kinclaven. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and potentially better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could offer a better deal.
Consider your location: Staying closer to major attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes with higher expenses. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and ease of access to the sights you wish to visit. You might also look into independent hotels located further out, which are usually more likely to be affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
