What a lovely place to stay on Dartmoor , lovely character property with a four poster bed in the room. Food was lovely and great choice at breakfast, lovely staff

We really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely room with everything we needed. Food was of a very high standard with lots of choice. Great atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. Highlight of our stay were the staff. All friendly, polite and efficient.

A beautiful hotel set in lovely gardens on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Very good standard of food. The classic room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Perfect for a relaxing break once you have negotiated the 1.5 mile single track road to the hotel!

I was frankly amazed at the quality of Briarfields immediately I walked through the front door. Everything looks freshly decorated, neutral colours, spotless carpeting... My room (No.8) on the top floor looked like it had been decorated yesterday, a small fridge with fresh milk and a bottle of water, comfortable bed, good quality clock/alarm. The bathroom was spotless.

Spotlessly clean room, nicely decorated and really great en-suite. Evening food excellent with really friendly hotel team. Only slight down side (for us) was Sunday breakfast didn't start until 8am. Fine for many but we (and another guess) had somewhere to be at 9am, meaning breakfast was very very rushed.

Hello - We had a lovely long weekend in Babbacombe. The hotel is in a great location 2mins walk from the Cliff Railway. No on-site parking but plenty of street parking. The breakfast was fantastic. The hosts are two lovely people who are very accommodating! We will 100% be back next time we are back in Torquay

We had a fantastic break, the hosts were perfect, the facilities great and we enjoyed the most amazing food. The breakfast buffet was extensive with a great range of local and home made produce and this was all followed by a mesmerising choice of hot food which included local produce. There was cake on hand all day along with fresh tea and coffee and the hosts couldn't do enough to ensure we had a great stay.

A short stay, but everything I needed was available. Great location — would recommend.

We had a lovely meal when we arrived (not included) then friendly staff showed us to our room, king size bed en-suite, the bed was very comfortable & a powerful shower.

We havè stayed here several times! The rooms are always clean and the beds arè very comfy . Easy Parking and à lovely freshly cooked breakfast.. Only one downside - the outside is looking a bit shabby around the pathways and needs maintenance.. However, we really enjoyed our

Great hosts, parking permit was provided which saved us a lot of money, easy walk to the harbour. The room was huge and cleaned every day. The only let down was the British summer weather!

Brilliant attention to detail !! The owners treated us like old friends, and as it was or 34 wedding anniversary they had laid on various presents and extras. Thoroughly recommend.

We booked a last minute one night stay. I felt slightly nervous after reading some reviews but there was no need to be. From the moment we booked until leaving the staff couldnt be more helpful. From making sure we got booked into the spa to allowing us to use the spa changing rooms for the outside pool ater checking out. We even had drinks delivered to us whilst in the hot tub. We were on the first floor and had a lovely view over the pool and harbour. We couldn't have been more pleased and...

A really good value B&B for the area. About 20 mins from Oakhampton in a tiny village. 2 good walks (4 and 8km for hikers), and excellent beer, wines and food in the evening. Breakfast was top class. Will come again.
