We have spent many short visits to Middleton over the past few years - this was our first stay at Brunswick House. What a delight. The reviews knocking the driveway in to park and rooms not overlarge can safely be ignored. As a couple we had twin beds, room 1 at the rear. Not large but perfectly formed with everything we needed plus an en-suite with a great shower. All spotlessly clean. A 'fridge' with 'proper' milk,2 small bottles of water plus a small fruit bowl and biscuits. The breakfast was...

My stay at Lanehead old school was fantastic. The owners Lisa and Chris were lovely and extremely helpful. My car broke down on the way there and they offered to pick me up. They then offered to pick me up from the garage I had my car towed to. Excellent hosts. It was like staying with old friends! I can't recommend the place highly enough!

I stayed here with my partner for a wedding. I got here around midday and fro that point onward everything was fantastic. All of the staff here were so friendly and accommodating, even arranging taxis for us and then keep an eye on them to arrive while we had a beer. We got back around midnight and had a chat with the owner, who again was really friendly.

The cottage was pristine, we felt like we were the first guests. It is a spacious, comfortable and stylish property and the owner’s attention to detail is second to none. Large beds and great showers. Very quiet at night so we slept well. Large private garden. Warcop is a lovely village with good walks along the river & streams. The Chamley Arms around the corner was very welcoming but we just missed out on being able to eat there as they are starting serving meals in July. However we...
