Hotels near Heidelberg Central Station

"Simply put, this is the gold standard in Heidelberg. What a lovely hotel, physically beautiful, and a great staff."

"Fantastic rooms for families and in a great location for exploring Heidelberg! Staff were lovely and welcoming and the room is very well equipped. We opted not to go for breakfast so can't comment on the food, but the drinks at the bar were great. Would definitely stay again, by far our best stay in Heidelberg so far!!"

"Very close to old town Heidelberg, facing river, friendly, great room."

"Super clean and elegantly modern hotel right at the main train station. Excellent rooftop bar and restaurant. "

"We enjoyed our stay in this property. The location is very convenient since the train stop is right across the street. The staff were all very friendly, nice and helpful. Whenever we are visiting Heidelberg we are definitely staying here. Frühstück ist sehr lecker! Highly recommend!!! "

"Very friendly staff and good location for a day or two visit to Heidelberg "

"Very nice hotel near train and trams. Spacious clean rooms with plenty of towels. Easy access to old town area. Free coffee on each floor. Safe and walkable area. Would stay here again. "

"Fantastic location just outside the old town, clean comfy room, and a straightforward check in. I would recommend."

"Great hotel, wonderful breakfast. A little bit further away from old town and main sights but this reflects in the price. Public transport only a few minutes away on foot and will take to main area in Heidelberg. "

"In the heart of the city. Wonderful staff. Lovely breakfast. Facility is NOT handicap-accessible. It is within a two-minute walk of the Bergbahn to the castle and Bus 20 stop to/from the train station. American travelers be advised this is a fine place to stay if you are open to a comfortable, clean place to stay a night ot two. "

"The hotel is ideally located in the heart of old Heidelberg, and wonderful for enjoying the Christmas markets."

"Courteous staff. Great location. "

"Fantastic staff on checkin. Easy parking on location. Short waterside walking into downtown Heidelberg. If you plan shopping or castle tour then it would be more advantageous to drive instead of walking. "

"Great location for a stopover. Nice staff, friendly and helpfull"

"Hemingway Hostel is a hidden gem. Location, character, friendly staff and absolutely delectable food including plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, it has it all. Book this place for an unforgettable stay in the beautiful city of Heidelberg. "

"We were very pleased by our stay at the Altstaft. It is a small boutique hotel that isn’t fancy but it is in great condition, super clean and in a great location near Bismarckplatz, transportation and the Main Street for shopping and dining. Walkable in 15 minutes to the funicular to get to Schloss Heidelberg. Would go back for sure."

"Very pleasantly surprised. Given the very reasonable price, I came in with low expectations. But wow, though the rooms are small, they are quite nice. Recently remodeled it seems, and very clean. There’s a lot of attention to detail in all the small things in the design and upkeep of the rooms: someone went out of their way to cool all of the power cables for TV, phone, etc and cable tie them, there’s nice ledges for toiletries in the bathroom and inside the shower, and the bed is very soft. I’m...

"Don’t normally do too many reviews, but this place is excellent value for a stay in Heidelberg. Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff, nice social area (with free refreshments) where you can meet other travellers. If you go to Heidelberg this place should definitely be on your list. "

"Love our loft room, spacious and clean. Very good service and easy parking. Heidelberg is too beautiful to beautiful real!"

"This is a very well maintained, modest hotel in a lovely part of town. The staff is very friendly and accommodating but note that the reception desk closes between 10:30p and 6:30a. The hotel is small and not spectacular but for a simple, straightforward stay in Heidelberg on a charming square (with a farmers market some mornings) it’s really exceptional. "
