"Please ignore any historical reviews about the hotel and its previous need of modernisation. The hotel has had a complete refit - in fact I was speaking to a hotel maintenance employee, he said that the floor I was staying on had quite literally had a refit the previous week! Good value for money, and literally next door to Stoke on Trent railway station (It's the old station hotel) I would not hesitate to stay there again."

"We had a family room for 1 night before going to alton towers. Great location, family room was as expected for the 4 of us, and good buffet breakfast. Staff were really friendly and helpful"

Hot food is actually hot!!! Really enjoyed breakfast. Drinks expensive but priced as other hotels. Stayed in hotel twice."

"The staff absolutely make this hotel, they are so lovely. Friendly and welcoming when you arrive, very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Reception, young lady, professional, courteous and a positive attitude. The kitchen and waiting staff are very pleasant and accommodating with our dietary allergy. I think there have been some upgrades to the decor since we last stayed and it’s a nice welcoming place to stay. We will stay again. Thank you to all the staff."

"I understood the price once I arrived. We passed people that looked suspicious of drug using in the halls many times. The bed was horrible. I woke up aching. Grateful for the free parking though. I’m sure in its day it was a great place. It’s very run down now "
