"Very tobacco smoky building and room at 8th floor. Reported to the front desk, but it was useless due to the whole building air circulation system. Not a kid friendly hotel (healthy concern.) If you don’t smoke, avoid this hotel at all cost!"

"Flight delayed due to typhoon so we stayed a night at the Regent, was nothing short of amazing. Large spacious clean rooms, and the amenities were stellar. The rooftop pool was closed so we missed seeing it, next time. If you think you know buffets, don’t miss checking out this one, it’s incredible. So glad we were able to experience the Regent!"

"One of the old grand hotels in Taipei that at one time was the best of the best. Still has that old school charm and well maintained. I really like the old bar with the smoking room and the food options are pretty good. I hear that Marriot recently bought the property so I'm very curious to see what they do with the old girl!
