"Quite possibly the nicest place we’ve stayed at! Lovely cabin tucked in the corner next to a field full of sheep’s, private garden area, hot tub, just amazing! Loved every minute there, peaceful, comfortable and very relaxing!
I would suggest a name change on either the cabin or the paperwork though as we had to double check with reception that “chesnut cabin” was “the cabin” as we didn’t want to walk into the wrong one."

"Definitely a feeling of faded splendour (though I think that sums up Eastbourne as well). Pleasant enough but not a luxury hotel. It was fine for what we paid (£80 for 2 rooms). Neither lift was working (broken for months apparently) so we discovered an absolute labyrinth of staircases up to our rooms on the 3rd floor. No central staircase, just loads of staircases everywhere! We worried about getting out in the event of a fire.... The staff were really lovely, so helpful & friendly, and the...

"Whilst I would not call it a five star hotel. It is an excellent location and place to stay. Staff are very friendly and attentive. The place is clean. The food is great. The sea view from the room was excellent. The cigar lounge is an excellent spot. Breakfast is served hot with a few choices and made to your liking. We highly recommend this hotel"

"I needed somewhere for a one night stop before an early start for a nearby walking event. Haddon Hall is quite old fashioned, my room was basic but it was cheap and suited my needs so I've no complaints."

"The Hotel specialises in coach tours.
Many of their reviews are quite bad.
But our room was clean. Spacious and well equipped.
Only criticism is mains sockets near beds have been removed so cannot charge phones beside the beds."

"EXCEPTIONAL ALL AROUND!!!
We stayed at the Chequers Inn for 3 nights and this stay was truly my favorite part of our trip. Sue was absolutely lovely. So kind and helpful with questions and wonderful customer service. The Inn itself was full of history, which I loved. And the rooms were VERY clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the turn down service every day for the room was great! Fresh towels every day as well.
THE FOOD!!! The food was incredible! My family, that stayed elsewhere,...
