"Hotels.com have asked me "How helpful was the staff?" - it's "were"!!!!! This is their media/marketing dept. Thankfully the Thatched Cottage were so much better and more efficient. It's gorgeous, need to do a bit of ducking but really efficient. Steve in the tearoom doing breakfast was superb and really enhanced the experience. Wife thought the mattress needed changing but that's the only minor criticism. It's a 15th century cottage so be prepared - they didn't have 6'3" people in those days....

The room was exceptionally clean and two fans were keeping the room very well aired under extreme temperatures in this unbearable heatwave. Breakfast exceptional and plenty of choice. "Little gem with easy access to Lymington and the new Forrest . The staff were very friendly and helpful the food was good , plenty of off street parking and the property had a unique feel , with the river passing through the property with small bridges passing over the various water ways .
