What a lovely find. A few nights away from busy London. We’ve had a relaxing 3 nights, staff are fabulous, helpful and happy. Hotel is clean, lovely pool, delicious cocktails and plentiful breakfast.

Characterful and restful rural property with good access to interesting hilltop towns in local area. Very welcoming and friendly couple running front of house and wine-tasting. Great experience - thank you both

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Poggio del Drago - Emanuele is a perfect host and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The room itself was lovely - recently renovated and looking lovely. The pool is perfectly located, overlooking the olive groves and with plenty of loungers for all guests. Breakfast was great - a large breakfast table where all guests sat together and took breakfast - an array of sliced meats, cereals, and also a coffee machine to make yourself a cappuccino or...

This place is surreal. We felt like we were on the set of the Name of the Rose. Sleeping in a real XIV century monastery, with its own church (with amazing frescoes), on a hill overlooking the grapes and olive trees dotted countryside...just unbelievable. We stay in one the celle, which is a 3 bedroom apartment on 2 floors, with your own private garden...yes, that's correct. Simply unheard of. The location is great too (Siena is a short drive away). Wow wow wow. What a place. Absolutely phenomenal stay here. The grounds and hotel are absolutely fabulous. I read some review around staff attitude but can honestly say I never experienced this at all. Everyone was very polite and helpful in the bar and restaurants. George on reception was particularly lovely and helpful. The food and drinks were beautiful. I also did the wine tasting during my stay which was also wonderful. I will definitely be back.

I just loveeee this castle. If I could, I should live there. I stayed for 2 nights, one outside the castle and the other inside the construction. Loved both. If you go to Tuscany, make sure you spend some nights in this hotel. The breakfast is gread. The food the same. There is a bar too. the pool is not heated. Love, love, love!!!

Arrived very late due to flight delay , communication and support from the hotel about late check in was fantastic and the owner even stayed until I arrived at 00.30. Recommended.

Sensitively renovated 17th century building. Good food and wine. Enthusiastic staff. Important to use Google for directions using the hotel name as local roads unnamed and published address doesn’t get you there.Overall a charming place!

Fairytale castle hotel in the heart of Tuscany. Everything about this hotel was fabulous! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was always clean and tidy. The buffet breakfast had a wide range of delicious food and lovely service. Thanks for a great stay!
