"The owner of Hotel Les Goelands is a gem of a person. Although we had a bit of a problem checking-in, he more than made up for our inconvenience with his conscientious, affable and charming personality.
Hotel Les Goelands is a lovingly operated family business that has been in existence for 90 years. We enjoyed having "Grandmother's Special Cake" for dessert on the evening we had dinner in the dining room. Delicious!
The breakfasts at the hotel were also very tasty.

"The first room #16 was totally unacceptable with damp and mold settling around the vent. Not at all what we were expecting. After complaining we were upgraded to the largest room in the hotel which is what we thought we would get in the first place. The best part of the experience was meeting the chef, Olivier Lataste who created sumptuous meals for us. "

"It's basic - you get what you pay for - but adequate.
Situated a little bit out of things but a 10 minute walk to the small beach and two restaurants.
A number 39 bus nearby to get into town, but not on a Sunday. 45 minute walk to town.
Helpful staff but reception only open part time.
For value for money we can recommend. "

"We stayed in the ground floor apartment with a bedroom and a sofa bed which I slept in. It was a great place for a single parent with two children. The two shower rooms were a blessing as was the kitchenette which helped keep breakfast and lunch at low cost.
The staff supplied advice, coffee and a few cables/plugs."
