Great stay would stay again if i was in Windermere

Hard to access carpark on site. Very cramped entrance on a major slope and limited parking space. We were met on arrival after ringing doorbell by woman who wasn't very friendly. She asked us how we managed to get into reception as we apparently shouldn't have been able as door should have been locked or closed. (Dont see how that was our fault) Then she states if we turn up for breakfast there might not be a table available and would let us know when we could get one!? (Turned out not a...

Everything was great and even better than i expected

The Angel Inn has a fantastic location-with lots to do & see in Bowness within minutes walk, and easy access to the excellent 599/555 bus service to explore the rest of the South Lakes. The staff were all really friendly & helpful. The breakfast was great, with a lot of options.

Stayed over Easter weekend. Arrived Friday night and was greeted by one of the owners, Bonnie. We have a double room, well sized with lots of storage. Bed was soft and good for a few nights with been uncomfortable. Ensuite was good as well and the showers hot. All rooms look to come with a TV (limited to ITV and C4 channels only) and welcome book with the WiFi information (good for streaming) Breakfast has to be preordered by 7pm he day before, good range of hot food on selection...

We've just spent a lovely week at the Queen's Head at Troutbeck, Windermere. Lovely staff. Great food. Just near enough Windermere without being in the hustle and bustle and easy walks right from the door! We hope to return again soon.

We had a lovely stay recently for a wedding, hosts were more than welcoming, comfy beds and a lovely breakfast. Thank you for being great hosts! We will be booking again for our next trip to the lakes.

Loved our break, staff were very friendly & were happy to help. Our room was spotlessly clean with excellent views & a very comfy bed. Will definitely be booking here again

Stopped on 14th may 2016. The girl who greeted us and served breakfast the next morning was excellent. The food we had at night was great and the breakfast was spot on. Lovely location. The bar bit is about as perfect looking as youd get a pub. The bathroom in our room was 'retro' but we quite liked talking about it and what colour we had in the 90s lol. The bedrooms are lovely too. Defo come back

The hotel is very good, food excellent and the staff are so helpful, only problem we had was on arrival, we was allocated room 4 which although was very nice the floor was sloping which made my wife feel nausea. But after a while all seemed ok. Would definitely stay again.

Beautifully presented hotel in a peaceful and scenic location. The room was comfortable, nicely decorated and spotless. There is plenty of choice for breakfast and everything we had was delicious, although it is a little bit restricting only being able to have breakfast between 8.30 and 9.15. We didn't eat in the hotel in the evening but there are two pubs within easy walking distance to eat and drink at. It's a great location for exploring Windermere and Coniston and there are some lovely walks...

Lovely stay spotless room . Bed really comfortable great night sleep . Staff very polite and helpful. It was nice to be served by who I believed to be the actual owner you don’t see this in many hotels . Large property spread out over 2 main buildings and garden chalets . On arrival I thought the chalets looked in need of a little maintenance on the outside but I am sure that inside they are as well maintained as our room (21) that was situated in the main house .
