A good no nonsense place to stay. It has all the necessities you need and a huge amount of choice for breakfast. The gardens around the property are nice and the pool would be a real bonus in the summer.
The staff are friendly and the propietor spoke excellent English and was a really helpfull nice chap.
I was very glad I found this and would stay again if in the area.
I didnt know how to rate the Eco freindlyness as i dont know that, so a mid 3stars.

Loved every minute of our stay, room was big and bathroom clean, pool was a nice touch with the weather being so warm, staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfast but I'm sure it was just as amazing as the hotel. Location was closed enough to the centre but not too close.

Fabulous stay in a quaint building sympathetically restored. A highly quality guesthouse and host was very welcoming. Made minor alterations to the breakfast which made our stay even better as the children happy with food choices. The host has a fab website with links to shops and restaurants and made our overnight stop incredible.

Had the most friendly of welcomes and the staff could not do enough to ensure our stay was pleasurable.
A very short walk away was the town with its many restaurants and shops however there is a restaurant on site.
There is secure parking or off road parking. Breakfast exceeded expectations with a wide choice of cold meat, cheese and pastries, cereals and cooked food. The coffee was excellent.

We recently stayed at Les Terrasses de Saumur Hotel & Spa and could not have asked for a more brilliant experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went completely above and beyond, they were so genuinely lovely, warm, and attentive throughout our entire stay.
The hotel itself was impeccably clean and tidy, with every detail well looked after. One of our favourite highlights was the fantastic pool area, which provided the ultimate spot to cool down and unwind. While we didn't get a chance...

Excellent location, very clean and parking a real bonus. Two minor issues, water left in kettle and automatic light in toilet was like a search light coming on, when getting up in the night. A real waku up call.

So good that we returned on our way home having extended our holiday to stay at the chateau and visit Saumur. Mary and Monique were both very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, guests sat at a long table which made for lots of chat, tales of travel experiences and laughter. We will definitely be back for more nights in the traditional glamorous rooms. The pool and garden along with the vines are delightful.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Gennes

For a truly enriching experience, it is advisable to stay for at least 2 to 3 days to fully appreciate the area's historic sites and cultural offerings, including notable landmarks such as castles and other historical places. This duration allows visitors to explore Gennes' charm while enjoying great value for money. With the potential for prices to drop during these months, travellers can enjoy an affordable getaway without compromising on the richness of their experience.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Gennes, visit the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Dealsopens in new window section on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, helping you seize opportunities for savings. Additionally, the Smart Shoppingopens in new window tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you could find the best options for your stay. With these resources, you’re more likely to be the first to know about price drops or room availability.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, having some flexibility with your travel dates could help you find a more affordable stay at a hotel in Gennes. For those in search of a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we can suggest alternative dates that could potentially lead to a more favourable rate.
Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres may provide convenience, but it often tends to come with higher costs. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and accessibility to the sites you intend to visit. You might also look into independent hotels located further out, which can offer a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
