What a wonderful surprise and a great way to experience both the Chateau and the Relais. At the Relais you even get your own balcony to enjoy the sunset at night.
There is a pool, a sauna and a gymnasium at your disposal.
I would just make a small recommendation - try introducing a hot cooked breakfast and /or later night snacks/bar within the Relais complex. Otherwise, bliss.

This is definitely luxury accommodation but we decided to treat ourselves for the last few days of our holiday. Ideal for the golf enthusiast but also a great location for touring small, local vineyards. I read mixed reviews in advance about the restaurant but decided to risk it and was rewarded with an excellent meal, so clearly it is consistency that is the issue,
So the overall experience wasn't cheap but we did get decent value for the money we spent.

The Chateau was amazing. The staff were the most helpful team we have ever met. Travelling with a 4-month old baby was made so easy, by their care and understanding. They just couldn't do enough for us. Thank you, everyone. Our room was very large, the sitting room was great and a big spacious bathroom for the three of us. Eating outside was magical, in the courtyard with pretty lighting candles, etc. The food was incredible. The surrounding area was very quiet and peaceful. Perfect. ...

The host is just so helpful and cheerful, the room is super clean and the attention of detail from the host makes the stay so much enjoyable.
Unfortunely for me, my room was the one on the main road and I am a light sleeper, so sleep was not the best experience so agreed with host to reserve a room at the back of the Mas for my next stay.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Monbazillac
Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly times to visit Monbazillac are during January, February, and November, when hotel prices are typically lower. For a comprehensive experience of the region's historical and cultural landmarks, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This allows ample time to explore the charming wineries and notable monuments that showcase Monbazillac's rich heritage, making it a destination that offers great value for money. As an added bonus, prices may drop during these months, making it an even more affordable trip for those on a budget.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Monbazillac, users may start by exploring the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Dealsopens in new window sections on Hotels.com, where discounted hotel rates could be available as your travel date approaches. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you can stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, helping you secure the best price. Additionally, the Smart Shoppingopens in new window tool within the app allows travellers to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re among the first to know if prices drop or rooms become available for your getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay in a Monbazillac hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and often better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we’ll suggest more affordable dates that could help you secure a better deal.
Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience but often tends to come with higher costs. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and accessibility to the places you wish to visit. You might also look into independent hotels located further out, which are likely to provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
