Learn more about Seaham

Seaham is well known for its attractions such as Blast Beach and Seaham Harbour Marina. Visitors to this welcoming city speak highly of the restaurants whereas sights include East Durham Heritage and Lifeboat Centre and Funshack.

Seaham Lighthouse in county Durham always gives a great show when the waves are crashing so I knew that I would have a chance to get something dramatic. Using a long lens from a distance helps to compress the waves and lighthouse making it even more dramatic but shooting at such a distance has its draw back due to all the moisture in the air which reduces the sharpness on the image. Not to mention the strength of the wind as it tried to thwart my attempts! Still, this location was defiantly the best of the day.
