Mixed emotions about my stay at the Talardy Hotel. Unfortunately I was isolating because I was having cancer treatment and my wife and kids all had coughs and colds. We had a lovely stay. Beautiful room and gorgeous views. Staff went above and beyond.

Attention to detail, everything was spotlessly clean. Good shower, nice towels. Refreshments in room.Friendly hosts. Lovely breakfast, cooked to perfection. Bar if you fancy a tipple. My only slight negative was lack of blackout blinds or drapes, was awake very early as the room was flooded with light. But everything else spit on. Thank you Diane & Chris.

A very rare review – but our stay at Y Capel was absolutely faultless. Although a remote annexe of The Erskine Arms (on the same small street, opposite Erskine Arms) it is absolutely beautiful. Warm welcome, friendly helpful staff, very enjoyable reasonably priced evening meal. Excellent breakfast. The room on the top floor accessed by a steep staicase, was spacious and very clean, slight downside the mattress was a little tired. The location of the hotel was ideal very close to town centre. Tip. The restaurant is very popular so book a table in advance. Watch out for parking fines, paying by phone does not always work, one guest paid by phone and still got £100 worth of parking...

Renovation going on at the moment but this did not impact on our stay, except that the room we stayed in needed some tlc. I'm sure that the issues we raised with the lovely staff will be attended to. We were offered another room but were happy to stay with the minor issues.

Husband and I have just stayed here for a week with our big puppy and can honestly say the place is so beautiful, Jo and her husband have done a fantastic job with the pod and making it so homely inside. The pod had everything available from bed linen, towels, tea towels, cooking equipment, utensils, toaster, microwave , iron, ironing board, hair dryer, books, log burning fire and more.
