"What a lovely find esp when Cardiff over-priced and poor availability for a big gig at Principality. Easy taxi to train station and frequent trains into Cardiff Central. Hotel itself really special with great staff and very nicely turned-out rooms with local Welsh water and toiletries. "

"We needed 2 last-minute rooms and we hit the jackpot here! Super clean, well maintained, free parking, and best of all during this heatwave, wonderful air conditioning! Close to Tintern Abbey (25 minutes) and Cardiff (35 mins). Only thing lacking are washcloths (or "flannels" as they are referred to in the UK), but most hotels don't stock them we are finding. Highly recommend staying here over Cardiff."

"All in all a great rural country property. If you want 4* relax & quiet, this is the spot before you enter Wales :) I didn’t expect everything to be ultra modern - it’s not a Dakota. You know what you’re getting when you stay in a property like this. Food & leisure facilities were my highlights. Hopefully AC will be installed as and when they refurbish the hotel under the new owners."
