The restaurant was quaint, and the food was terrific. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was quiet and conformable.

There were cracks in the door where the light could come through. And you could hear everyone in the hallway, but the beds were comfortable. The towels were amazing and the the hotel room was super cute
Miki, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

I loved the quaintness of the property. The room was perfect. And the shower (I know it's weird) had one of the greatest temperatures and pressure I have had in a hotel

Better check-in instructions

Sign posted on building to check-in at player’s club inside the CBC. No mention of that on Hotels.com.

A very unique and charming place. Definitely recommend and will return next time we are in North Lake Tahoe.

Loved this place. The bathtub alone was worth it!
Cindy, 1-night trip

They nicely renovated an old wooden guest house of historic value. 4 rooms on the first floor. Modern fixtures, lighting, nice showers, rich wood trim. Only comments were: check-in was in Casino next door and inn was a mile from the village.
David, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

The rooms are a good size and the location is great. But I was unimpressed with the service. The staff seemed totally disinterested in being helpful or friendly.

A great find

A wonderful find! The house is beautiful, the rooms are large and very elegantly decorated and it’s quiet and has a rural feel despite being in the hub of things.

Great for the price!

The room was great, clean and stocked with what you would expect. My only issue was the shower only had cloth shower curtains and there was no door to separate the room from the bathroom. I like to keep the room cool, therefor the bathroom was always chilly and the water temp in the shower was not very hot. Otherwise great option for someone looking to stay in north lake for under $800 a night and have access to a small casino.
1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The room was spacious and nice. You have to check in inside the casino, which we didn't know. My only complaint was gaving to walk to the casino to get ice and the knob on the shower was very hard to turn. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Cute and comfortable boutique hotel

Cute and comfortable boutique hotel in a convenient location. Our only complaint is that you have to check in at the casino next door. No one was at the player's club desk so we had to hunt for an employee. He had to call for someone to come and check us in. Strange there is no front desk at the actual hotel. Other than that inconvenience, we had a nice stay.
Carlos, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Overall a great experience, so I gave it 5 stars. Nice robes, towels, comfy beds, friendly staff. As a fellow business owner I would suggest three things. 1 Add sliding barndoors to the rooms instead of the curtain between the bedroom and bathroom. 2. Mark the light switches 3. Change the highend steakhouse to barfood and breakfast to match the casino and music venue. Food was amazing, but expensive.
Dana, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The rooms were large and beds comfortable. The bathroom was not stocked with supplies nor was the coffee maker unless you like Hazelnut Coffee... Its part of the adjacent casino and you have to find someone to help you. No food available. Adequate but lacking what you would normally expect. Feels a bit like walking into a building from the old west.
Steven, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Nothing to indicate that the check in was in the casino - unattached to the actual property. No directions or arrows to take you to the casino. Guests need to figure that out on their own. No staff at the front desk which added to the difficulty of the check in process. The room was nice, clean and spacious
William, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Pros-Historic, spacious, nice bathroom and good location. Cons-Dark, poor lighting in bedroom. Bathroom sink not draining, indoor and patio furniture as well as common areas very dusty. No instructions of any kind, phone does not access reception.
Connie, 3-night trip

I wouldn’t stay here if you need to sleep

The TV didn’t work, neither did the volume so at night it didn’t turn off or turn done leading me to not be able to sleep. During the day the volume was too low to hear. The fan also made loud noises all day and night.
Amelia, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The room was fairly comfortable in an outdated charm, sort of way. The bathroom was fun with a slightly cringey led light equipped jet bath tub. Relaxing. The front desk staff at the casino who own the small hotel next door are just not very friendly and unwilling to provide helpful customer service. We decided to stay because hotels.com offered a better price. The casino was adamantly not willing to accommodate a military discount or upgrade any accommodations, like offering two beds after knowing we accidentally ordered one. They had plenty of other rooms. In truth, the hotel rooms were quaint, cute even. It’s the Casino staff and its smokey stench of an 80s throwback hangout for lonely slot machine enthusiasts, is the only problem. Hold your breath, pay for you room quickly, answer yes to their robotic questions and then go enjoy Lake Tahoe.
