Enjoyable Stay At Dragonfly, Bury St Edmunds!

Very good value for money; friendly, helpful staff, and within walking distance of Bury St Edmunds.
Gary, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Stayed here a couple of times when working in the area. Breakfast is good and the seating area vast. All staff are nice.

great stay in a comfortable clean hotel

Well presented hotel with friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. very good selection at breakfast - ideal for a short stay.
John, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Money grabbers, do not stay

Arrived around 3pm, asked if room was ready, the receptionist said yes but it will be £10 extra for early check in, how rude, so we had to wait in the car park for a hour to get our key, will never stay hear again. We couldn’t even go in the bar and wait as there was a private funeral in there
Darina, 1-night trip

Perfect short stay space

Really friendly staff. Lovely sunroom to sit in near reception. Comfortable room with a modern and very clean bathroom. Helpful touch of a much needed fan in the room. Quiet in the room despite not being far from the main road. Helpful that Sainsbury’s is only a five minute walk away, but don’t forget to log your car on the iPads in reception before popping to the shop.

8/10 Very good

Nice quick check in,room nice and clean and beds very comfortable.Bathroom nice and clean ,plenty of towels , toiletries provided. Was a hairdryer, only thing would have been nice to have a socket near a mirror when drying your hair. This room we had this time was a lot noiser from all the traffic .Breakfast had plenty of choice ,nice to have brand name cereals, cooked breakfast was okay but mushrooms were nearly raw and fried eggs were quite rubbery looking and hard
Dawn, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Warm, comfortable, clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful
Chris, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The bed was comfortable. Bathroom very clean. Carpet had a couple of sticky spots. Breakfast was excellent. The grass verges were littered with plastic bottles and old food wrappings. It was a bit windy and could possibly have come from full bins.
Susan, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Like to watch fire TV stick. 1st room HDMI port was broken so switched rooms. 2nd room was the same. 2 singles beds pushed together to make a double, which are slightly different heights so not overly comfortable. Average experience on this occasion.
Gary, 1-night trip

Pleasant stay

Staff were welcoming. Room was pleasant and clean. Was only a fleeting visit but would definitely come again for a longer stay
Susan, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Clean and comfortable. Easy access from A14.
Allen, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Overnight stay.

Overnight stay to meet family next day. Good location, just off A14, plenty of easy free parking, quick & efficient check in, twin beds (can't often get that), clean, comfortable, smallish room but ok, decent food in restaurant.
1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Friendly, comfortable and good value.

I have stayed here a lot over the last few years as a large amount of my work has been in this part of the country. The staff have been super friendly, the food has been good and the rooms have been comfortable. For the price I think it is hard to beat.
Benjamin, 1-night trip

Lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Very comfy room. Quiet and peaceful.
Susan, 1-night trip

Perfectly fine for one night
Cheryl, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Overpriced. Nice staff. Poor rooms & public areas.

Overpriced. Nice staff. Warm and quiet hotel. Very tired and characterless building. Public areas poor. Bathroom was good but bedroom very basic and uninviting. Convenient location for main road access.
Nicholas, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Comfortable beds, poor breakfast

The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The main downside we had was the breakfast when we went down there wasn't much of a selection and what they did have was cold or had been out for a while. Overall the room is worth the price but the breakfast isn't.
Richard, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Decent and functional. Please employ a human for check in not a machine.
Michael, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Check in on our own, was charged £1 for the pleasure!!
Wendy, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Rooms were basic, but of a good size and neat and tidy. Bathroom and shared areas looked of recent new quality. Bed wasn't bad and we slept pretty well for being in a hotel. We were lucky though as our room was furthest from the A14 so little to no noise. For the price, in this area, cant be beaten, and very convenient location for us.
Stewart, 1-night trip

A nice place

Nice surroundings, the car park was a bit of a walk when carry all my stuff in and out as the road passed the door had no drop off point. Nice breakfast apart from eggs (solid) tomatoes (not tinned) apart from this a lovely place. Good price and lovely outlook over the grass and trees
Kevin, 1-night trip

All good but breakfast wasn’t the best
