I really enjoyed my stay at Lafayette. the Wilson suite was comfy, food was very good - the breakfast omelettes are HUGE! - and the owners were very welcoming and gracious. I would definitely return for another stay when visiting Shenandoah National Park!

Great little inn, conveniently located near the Swift Run Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park. Our room was large, clean, and cozy with a fireplace. Breakfast was great every day. The inn keepers are super nice and the staff is great for advice on the area for wineries, hiking and other interests. We really enjoyed dinner at the Restaurant.

Allen and Kaye were great! The perfect Hosts! Property was very cool and historical. Loved Dicey's Cottage ( Our specific accommodation) Food was excellent and Breakfast each morning was Very Good. Just the type of place we love to stay!

Great place, very comfortable. Location was great for us, short drive to our destination. Very friendly staff, easy to talk to and share thoughts. Breakfast was a real one, not a buffet that you get at all the chain hotels. Dinner was high quality and the fillet medallions were some of the best I've ever had. Thank you for a wonderful stay, hope to see you again.

Easy and friendly check in. Clean shower, and bathroom, easy tv remote, nice welcome with champagne and hot cider. Relaxing chairs to sit in..Dinner was very good, Carla and owners were also good waiters and Allan is a good chef. The eggroll appetizer and salad with mild cheese were both very good. As were the surf and turf and Brazilian Beef, no room for dessert but our chocolates in pur room. We are glad we stayed at Lafayette Inn. Very nice to us .

We had car troubles and we’re not able to make our reservation. I called and explained our situation, and said I know that we were past the refund date, but if there was anything they could do, that would be great. I also asked if I could get a call back to let me know what their decision was ( I did speak with a person when I called, I didn’t just leave a message) I never received a call back. That is why a terrible review. I would not have left a bad review had they called back and told me there was nothing they could do. But not returning a call when specifically asked for a call back is very poor customer service. I’m sure that lack of service from upper management flows to all service below them.

Beautiful historic inn. We stayed in the Washington Suite and where complimentary champagne and chocolate were waiting. Very comfortable accommodations. Lovely breakfast. The omelette with fresh spinach and tomatoes and feta cheese. So good. Kaye was a lovely host. We highly recommend and hopefully will have an opportunity to stay again.

Nostalgic

Nostalgic, historic, quaint, breakfast is great, owners are sweet and thoughtful. Bathrooms need TLC. If you don’t like cats do not stay here. They keep to themselves but many many on property. Close to hiking. Not many restaurants near. Enjoy.

Charming Historic Inn

The proprietors of the Inn were very hospitable and available. It was a very charming historic place and we enjoyed touring the town with the historic markers on the buildings and the park down the street. We especially enjoyed the individually prepared breakfast in the morning.

This historic Inn in a very small town ( population about 400) was a lovely respite. There was ample space in the room with a full bed, private bath and sitting area with fireplace. The restaurant on site offered a very nice dinner menu and wine selection and breakfast was served st our table and complimentary. Loved everything about our stay. Very gracious hosts.

Really enjoyed our time there. Friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast, and easy checkin and checkout. Also is a cat sanctuary which provides for a fun ambiance as well! Would highly recommend!
