Great location. Nice grounds. The only complaint is that the carpet in the room is old and creates an old, musty" smell. A hotel of this vintage can be greatly improved without the carpet of the same vintage.

Charming
What could have looked like a motel was beautified by flower boxes under each window, a lovely covered deck with gas firepits, and friendly staff. The Inn was in easy walking distance to many restaurants and even a small market.

Great location but worn out interior.
Rooms furnishings were way past wore out. Bathroom tile was in bad shape. Toilet leaked but was fixed right away. Room carpet was gross as well as chair fabrics. Great location and beautiful outside landscape must be the reason for a high rating.

The rooms are a little outdated but they are cozy and clean. This motel was very convenient to shopping and dining in the town of Blowing Rock. We really enjoyed our stay- I would book here again.

Disliked the sink and tub did not drain well. Told staff upon checkout.

Run down, dirty and smelly carpet, room service consisted of only making the bed and replacing the towels. There was no coffee for the Kuerig and the “communal” coffee pot on the patio was empty! Would not stay there again.

My husband and I just returned from The Azalea Garden Inn in Blowing Rock, NC. It's biggest calling card is the short walk (about 1/2 block) into Blowing Rock as parking in Blowing Rock can be a challenge.
Our room, while dated, was clean, cozy and fairly roomy. We were in room 15 which is above the office and up a flight of stairs. When we go back, we'll ask for one of the well-lit rooms facing the beautiful gardens since our room was quite dark.
Overall, it's a charming hotel with exceptional gardens, a lovely communal "Gathering Place," and attentive staff.

We enjoyed a very restful visit. Friendly staff, our room was well appointed with very comfortable bed. We loved the outdoor seating area for relaxing, enjoying lemonade and popcorn during the afternoon and coffee during the morning. The grounds are beautiful with an abundance of flowers. This is definitely our go to place when we visit beautiful Blowing Rock.
