This hotel is very unique and cute. A lot of trees, monkeys and all those jungle creatures. Bus stop right in front to take you to the Manuel Antonyo park or anywhere around.

2/10 Poor

Friendly staff, but overall wouldn’t recommend.
The basic room was pretty much an overpriced hostel. In fact, there are probably more amenities in a hostel compared to this hotel. We didn’t get fresh towels in the mornings, room was extremely humid and damp, and windows were just screens with no glass...we could hear the person in the next room snoring. The shower head was held together by a piece of electric tape. However, I do have to say that the staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was definitely a plus and the best we had in Costa Rica.

Owner and staff were amazing - very friendly and welcoming. It was in a great location and the restaurant was fabulous. There was also live music in the evening of the night we stayed. When I booked our room, I didn't realize it didn't have AC. Some of the rooms at the hotel do have AC, but ours did not. The room was very small (even with the double bed and twin sized bed). The owner told us he is in the process of making renovations, but the process has been slow. The room served it's purpose for the 1 night stay we booked it for.

Friendly safe place, but certainly faded glory. No amenities to speak off, very bare bones, bring toiletries. Room was very dark and behind utility room. So much shade encourages mosquitos, so be prepared. Pool is small but refreshing. Restaurant is pricey to area comparables. Nothing bad will happen here but price shop to make sure it’s your best value.

4/10 Fair

Disappointing, this hotel is very run down, more hostel accommodation than hotel. I did my research and for my budget this hotel seemed to be what I was looking for... a little oasis. We booked a standard room, I didn’t notice there was no air con when I booked so this was my fault but when I asked to be upgraded to aircon room they wanted £300 extra . The photos of the hotel are very misleading, it is in serious need of upgrading. The shower was cold and dangerous looking with electric wires exposed, everything was shoddy, bed linen all creased , no glass in the windows, only wire mesh . I will say the room was clean. The hotel is on a very busy road so be prepared for early wake up. Even though we had paid for 6 nights, we decided to move on, we couldn’t cope without air con and decided we would rather spend our money on somewhere with better facilities.

The property was very mediocre. It is more like a motel than a hotel. We stayed for two nights and our room wasn't cleaned. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Thanks for the amazing staff
Amazing staff who went out of there way to help you, kitchen wasn’t always opened but it was the slow season so I half expected it. Really didn’t like the town as much as I thought I would die to all the harassment, but that has nothing to do with this good hotel.
