Nice but difficult to find
Trying to find the apartment was extremely hard. The address in the email was a totally different no. Thankfully the emergency no lady was helpful. The apartment itself was very nice but cold when we arrived later on.

Aberdeen Aparthotel - average stay
The apartment itself was fine although the beds weren’t overly comfortable and the sofa in the lounge wasn’t particularly comfy. It had all the amenities you could need though. The only issue for us was the lack of parking. There is a 24 hour car park close by but it was awkward during the day if we were coming and going as it was difficult to find a parking space in the surrounding streets. We did use the 24 hour car park during the night though. It was quite noisy on Saturday evening but only to be expected as it’s right in the centre of Aberdeen so lots of bars and restaurants close by. Would be perfect if you were looking for a base close to the nightlife and didn’t have a car. Would consider staying here again though in future if I got a good deal.

Initially when we arrived we were met by a £150 cash only deposit required, usually this is acceptable as a card transaction and charges made for damages etc. This is understandable as I know that not every guest respects their surroundings however the fact it has to be done by cash is an issue as not everyone carries this, we asked to speak to the manager which took over 20 minutes of standing about until we could finally check in. The beds were very hard that was the only downside to the actual apartment. On check out We all had to stand about and wait until our rooms had been checked to make sure we had not broken anything prior to receiving our deposit back so another 15-20 minutes of standing about waiting so we could leave. Overall the apartments are good and in a good location.

The apartment itself was nice and clean. The down sides for me were the amount of stairs I had to climb with 3 children, suitcases and a pram. The hairdryer didn't work and the windows in one room didn't open it was very hot and no fans or anything either. However if you have help and don't mind the stairs then worth it I guess.

Disappointing stay
My stay was spoiled when I was contacted by them to say that work men were about to enter the property to fit new windows, this work was expected to last 2 days. I was not happy with this and found it hard to understand why they would even consider putting a paying customer into a apartment when work was due to be carried out. My wife rushed back to the department to be moved if possible. We were given an upgraded apartment despite I was personally told over the phone that nothing was available. Due to the rushed move, my wife did not realise I left my watch on a shelf in the cupboard (I was at a meeting for work). Once I realised that I did not have my watch we contacted them straight away but disappointingly, there was no sign of my watch, it had disappeared from the cupboard.

Great family accommodation
Because of a discount we paid £70/night, which for such apartment in the city it was great value. It was clean, quiet, nice modern style, spacious, great mattresses and close to virtually everything and with free parking (limited in spaces though). Only two niggles: the flooring in the hallway (laminated) was very noisy, and the lights on the patio outside the bedrooms could not be blocked by the blind in one of the rooms. Apart from that, fantastic value for money.

Nice apartment but a bit noisy during the night
The location is quite handy as it’s closed to the city centre. But there’s a pub downstairs and it was very noisy at night. The apartment was clean but it had unpleasant smell.
