The dining and bar areas are like many other pubs but the food I had for dinner was excellent, especially the chicken tikka with homemade paratha. The bedroom/bed was very comfortable with a coffee machine, which was a nice bonus. The bathroom had a great shower and bath with really good pressure and lovely hot water! Would certainly consider staying here again

This hotel was fantastic value. The modern, stylish rooms sit above "the pub" but this property is quiet and respectful. Decor is updated and there is a coffee machine. No fridge, but the lovely staff will refrigerate anything you have that needs it. Breakfast was part buffet and then a lovely hot plate cooked to order to your preferences. Staff could not have been more helpful or welcoming. Easy parking on street outside. This is a pretty quiet village and provided a lovely single night haven. We were sorry not to stay another night. Yes there are stairs up to the room so just take the luggage that you need for the night!

Very frustrated that the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. There are only take-away food outlets in Alyth in the evening. Other hotels can give information about days when the kitchen is closed - Why not this one! Everything else about the hotel was very good. Friendly helpful staff, recently refurbished room. Very clean and comfortable - so I would have rated it 4 or 5 star overall if they took the trouble to give important information .

Excellent hotel in a lovely village/ town.

We had a really nice room, it had a king size bed and was very tastefully decorated with a modern bathroom and walk in shower. Breakfast was freshly made and very nice. Would absolutely stay here again. Plenty of free on street parking and a big car park across from hotel. Alyth itself is really nice with lots of individual nice wee shops. Would recommend it.

The hotel has been recently renovated. I loved our room, modern mixed with recycled older furniture. Staff were excellent. The food was amazing, our evening meal was absolutely delicious, I would definitely return just for the food. Breakfast was great too! Overall a fantastic stay and we would definitely return.

We ere plessantly durprised to find the hotel refurbished to a high standard. Staff were very pleasant. Breakfast menu was extensive and good quality food. Dinner menu had plenty of choice and the food was 5 star. Prices good too. A variety of local shops nearby with a friendly community shop and a nice cafe in the square. We sre golfers so a perfect location for our favourite golf courses. We'll certainly be back but will book direct as this was much cheaper.
