Excellent.
Delighted with our stay. We had the last available room which was smallish but stylish and comfortable. Staff were excellent throughout and couldn't have been more helpful. We ate in Bistrot Piere two out of three nights and wished we had eaten there for all three. Breakfast was really good. The area was amazing and when all the buildings have been restored it will be fabulous. A little disappointed in Plymouth itself, it appeared quite shabby and rundown, but not the area where the hotel is. Would definitely go again.

Mind your head!
The location is lovely opposite the Bistrot Pierre restaurant itself. The room was nicely furnished and the bathroom had a large shower. My criticism of this room (no.12) is that it is almost impossible to not hit your head on the sloping ceiling when getting into bed on the left hand side. Also when leaning over the desk to say pick up the kettle, you also bump your head on the eaves sloping into the room. If I had known a) about the eaves b) it was up two flights of stairs I wouldn't have booked this category of room but I do not recall any mention that it was on the second floor. I would return but making sure the room was on a lower floor

Short break
We enjoyed a lovely last minute break here and stayed for 3 nights. The rooms are across the green from the restaurant which is where the reception is so if you need anything you have to cross the green - not a problem for us but could be a bit of a chore if the weather is inclement. Breakfasts were fab and the bed soooo comfortable. We were on the top floor so there were several stairs to the room but the building is listed and the conversion has been done to a very good standard. We would stay again :-)
