Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong

Beautiful hotel, excellent location right next to TST East. The room was in immaculate condition and service was efficient and delivered with a smile every time. The bar was not good, however, hence only 4 out of 5. We used the Intercontinental’s lounge bar in the evening a few times instead. Otherwise, absolutely fantastic hotel at a great price.

Kowloon Shangri-La is a proper 5-star hotel. As such it has a great set of amenities and offers you a pleasurable, comfortable stay. The hotel has a grand reception area that looks very majestic. The rooms are in great condition, beautifully decorated, spacious, with big, comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Opting in for a harbour view room is nice if you like to admire the HK skyscraper skyline across at Hong Kong island. Room service is very good and rooms are cleaned twice in a day. Overall the hotel has a lot of amenities. The fitness area and pool are small but at least they are there if you like to use them. The level of equipment is very good. The breakfast is amongst the biggest and most varied I have encountered giving you lots of options across many different cuisines (Western, Asian etc). On the cons side, we felt the hotel was too big and as a result overall management suffered a bit. Staff where all very professional and each individually tried their best to be helpful and accomodate the guest's needs. However, the reception and front desk was often getting very crowded (especially around check out times) and as a result it would take lots of time to be looked after. Similarly, at check in, you are not explained about sll offered amenities and services and associated costs or activities one can try around the city as most 5-star hotels will provide. The breakfast area would get fairly busy and noisy and often service would be slowed down.

Nice room with tremendous view over harbour. Very poor that only instant coffee is provided in a deluxe room! Beds very hard... Staff very helpful and friendly. Very good choice at breakfast - a pity the hot food was always almost cold....

Staff were friendly, great location near the MTR and the star ferry, a free shuttle bus every 15 mins to and from Kowloon Station which goes to the airport, good gym with everything you need! The only slight disappointment was the Internet speed but it was enough. Overall a great experience abd definitely would come back again!

A luxurious and grand hotel. The service was excellent and the beds were very comfortable. A great place to stay in Kowloon.
