We stayed for five days and the hotel was absolutely top-notch! The reception/concierge staff could not have been more warm, kind, helpful and knowledgable. They are, what every hotel front office staff should aspire to be, customer service second to none.

Exceptional hotel
We originally booked an apartment In the Trastevere area on hotel.com only to find out upon arrival in Rome that there was an error and the apartment we paid for was unavailable. Hotel.com rebooked us at the Lord Byron. The location was not where we hoped to be originally, but otherwise it exceeded all our expectations. Highly recommend this hotel, everything was perfect- great service beautiful clean and comfortable rooms, wonderful breakfast, kind and helpful staff. Exceptional hotel, would definitely stay here again.

NOT THE SAME AS THE PHOTOS! The hotel is dilapidated. Book just 1 night to try out if you wish to see it with your eyes - Beware that the hotel denied my request for refund after I left after 1 night. I booked 3 nights. Upon arrival, I was disappointed already with the condition of the hotel - on my estimate, partly renovated several years ago and partly dating back to a decade or so. The furniture had scratches and worn-off marks everywhere. The mirror was physically eroded and stained. Had only instant coffee on the table - all facilities the equivalent of a 3-star motel. On my first night, I was woken up by the noise from next room from 12 am to 1 am. Surely something can be said of unbecoming behaviours, but I would not expect this kind of experience in a 5-star hotel. Called front desk but essentially nothing could be done apart from asking the other guests. The very next day I asked to check out and asked if I could have refund of the 2 nights I would not stay - the hotel told me that it was only because I booked through hotels.com so that they could only deal with the request from the platform. After I came back and asked platform for refund, the hotel denied it even though they apologised for my disappointing experience. You are not appologetic, so do not pretend it - I wish the 200 something usd I wasted on you is the last money you could trick people into paying.

Decent hotel not luxury
Hotel is close to a park quiet area. It’s done in Art Deco style but Needs to be updated. Staff and service is good. Bathrooms are very old not nice. The Mattress was not comfortable it was concave. There is no iron. I would rate under 4 stars.
