Doubletree Orlando
Food, accommodation and location is very good. Service was friendly but was a little slow in the Laguna in the evening.

Maybe I was expecting too much?
Overall poor experience from what used to be (and still should be, bearing in mind it's a Doubletree) a great hotel. I emailed the hotel in advance asking that as it was our 1st wedding anniversary (and a surprise trip for my wife), would they be able to do anything to help make this a special stay. I received a cold email back saying I could have a room upgrade (literally has a Microwave and extra sink, nothing else) for $35 instead of $50. Poor customer service as this wasn't what I was asking. I replied saying how disappointed I was and their reply said they'd see what they could do when we checked in. When we did arrive, we asked if anything was recorded on our file and got told we could be upgraded...great I'm sure you're thinking. The room was facing the very back of the hotel and SeaWorld and was nothing special in the slightest, but this rate then attracted a $19 per day parking charge, for an over-subscribed car park where nightly fights for spaces took place. I think the final straw was receiving an email from 'April - Guest Relations Co-ordinator' asking me for 5* feedback on TripAdvisor. I promptly replied echoing points raised here and received a reply saying "we'll try harder for the next guests". How does that benefit me April? Are you going to add an extra 100 parking spaces? Are you going to lower the resort and parking fees? I still haven't received my HHonors points either. This should have been so much better. Maybe I was expecting too much.

Everything was great except that the bathroom smelled like mildew/mold.
