Nice hotel, bit dated
Nice hotel but a bit dated, front desk staff friendly enough but obviously hamstrung by rigid procedures Long wait for time-consuming check-in. When checking out, I noticed they'd already charged my card and hadn't given the F&B discount advertised when booking - took 20 minutes to get them to reverse the charge and give the discount. Why advertise it if you don't want to honour it?

Melia White House Hotel
I paid over £200 for one night in January. The room was freezing despite thermostat set at 25 degrees C, and there was only a thin summer weight quilt. I had to ask for a heavier quilt but my sleep had been disrupted as a result. However, very nice selection of breakfast, including Chinese selection!

Short trip to London
A bit slow at reception checking in and out. Lovely clean room. Art work and decor in the hotel a bit quirky. Very good location.
