Good standard business hotel in excellent location
Very convenient location walking distance to both the Capitol and Union Station. Not much in the way of shops and restaurants in the area other than hotel restaurants. Hotel was clean and comfortable - fairly standard business hotel - the rooms were comfortable but did feel a little dated (not least as the towel rail was fixed to the wall properly and kept coming off!) and the shower only seemed to have boiling or cold water as options.

Great stay despite the weather! Well located

Cold Washington
We were travelling by train and this hotel was close to Union Station. The day we arrived there had been a snowfall and many places were closed. We ate in the restaurant, it was buffet with plenty of choice and there was a waiter to assist with drink choices. The hotel was close to the Capitol and the White House plus many museums. There was also a free bus service for the month of February so we were able to get to other parts of the city.

Really well placed hotel close to National Mall and Union Station. Great places to eat not far away. Quiet area despite being very central. Staff very friendly and helpful regarding places to eat and transport for the airport.

Poor 2.0
AVOID unless wanting a budget no frills hotel
Hotel staff are terrible. Visited with my elderly mother for a weekend break. Tea and coffee is meant to be standard but had to keep calling and requesting. No toiletries in bathroom. Management not helpful with a poor attitude. Most disappointed. In Washington a lot for business... Better off staying at the marriott or hilton. AVOID the Hyatt... a budget no frills hotel gives you better quality than the Hyatt! Shocking service.

Great location for transport, near Capitol.
The hotel is absolutely fine and I would certainly revisit but the reality did not quite match what we expected from the photos online. With one exception - the pool and gym area is better than presented online. No fridge. Great location for the Capitol and Union Station.

Good 6.0
Customer service was so-so. We booked this hotel for a cheer competition and made multiple requests to be booked near each other. Reservation numbers were provided at their request and upon arrival we were again assured that we would be booked near each other. They did book us all on the 3rd floor but booked myself and daughter in the north tower with everyone else in the south tower. The towers don’t connect - so it was a huge disappointment for my daughter not to be near her teammates when a lot of emails and communication were sent to the hotel leading up to the reservation dates. The drain in the tub was also slow so you were standing in over an inch of water in the tub while showering. Room service was quick, but the food was not worth the price. The light to the pool is also very dim making it difficult to see children swimming in the pool. Disappointed overall at the experience

Stay was great but it took us about 45mins to get our car from valet Sunday morning before 7am.

Washington d.c. trip
Overall nice hotel. Its an older hotel but in pretty good shape. Bed was so-so, had a big tv and a small fridge though. A/C worked good but not as cool as i would have liked. Bathroom was clean, and people thst tended to the room did a great job. I did not enjoy the lobby being downstairs. The gift/food shop was nice. The dining was decent. Would stay again. Nicer than Washington court down the street.

Fair 4.0
Poor organized for hosting large event.
Waited for several hours to check in. Finally at 6 room ready. Not on floor near my daughters room as requested. Housekeeping came at 8am 2 of tge 4 days. Door to room hinge broken so door wouldn't open all the way making it difficult to get luggage in and out of room. There for future city competition and out of 10 rooms requested to be together we had 2 different towers and 4 different floors.
