Exceptional
Gorgeous family hotel- amazingly helpful.
Gorgeous hotel, amazing helpful staff. Our flight was cancelled so I we drove front Nevada. As we arrived in the middle of the night, they waived the city tax for the night and gave us free parking. Little things like that make a huge difference when you're exhausted! The hotel is fantastic, i feel the pool area is geared more towards families than couples. The area is lovely if you want a relax or have a car with you, if not, it's a little out of town. Totally depends what you're looking for!

Poor
WORST HOTEL EVER, AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I booked this trip through hotels.com and it was explained that there was a resort fee in addition to the room rate to be paid at resort. This was ok with me as it was pointed out at time of booking. In the list of facilities it clearly stated parking was available. On arrival at the hotel, which was in the middle of nowhere, I was informed that there was a $37 per night parking charge and that the nearest alternative parking was several miles away. It is shocking that nowhere on the hotel.com site or on the hotels web site was this charge mentioned. The resort fee, which is on par with the massive Vegas resorts, also turned out to be a complete rip off with many of the facilities unavailable due to breakdown, sauna and steam room, or closure as out of season. When asked by the receptionist if I enjoyed my two night stay I mentioned all the above and stated that I was very unhappy with hotels.com and with Hyatt. Her absolute couldn't care less attitude perfectly rounded off the worst hotel experience possible. Avoid this hotel at all costs. I will never book a Hyatt hotel again and I will probably boycott hotels.com in the future also. This hotel also adds a 3% surcharge to everything including meals, drinks, resort fee, parking etc, to cover "state and local increases to the minimum wage". This says two things to me, firstly that this hotel pays the minimum wage despite overcharging for everything, and second, that it will find every avenue to rip off their customers.

Good
Good location, hotel requires a little more care!
Overall, the hotel is located in a really nice location and is close to SeaWorld, but also not too far from the Downtown area. Our check-in was poor as it seemed that we have inconvenienced the agent, but others we dealt with afterwards were polite. The room was a good size, but not cleaned to the standard you would expect for a $200 a night hotel - we had to have the sheets changed immediately as they were stained and also had some mould in the bathroom. The hotel did address the issues and refunded a portion of our resort fee in compensation which was a good gesture. Having said all that the pool was lovely, the bar area at the pool really friendly and the Red Marlin restaurant food was excellent... but very expensive! We would stay in the area again and would consider the Hyatt, but it might not be our first choice.
