Thistle Trafalgar Leicester Square

Bedroom floor near the bathroom was sticky and wet. 6th floor Corridor had a strong musty odour. Was not particularly impressed given the cost of the room.

We were told as part of the VIP Hotel we would get room upgrades and late early check in check out but had no luck . Staff did not even try and check if it was possible, ordered ice for the room and got a dirty ice bucket full of slime and dirt. Not worth the money, only good thing is the location, staff had a lot of attitude and were not friendly at all. We kept being woken up from 8 in the morning by the cleaners every hour till we checked out, felt like we had been kicked out because they wanted the rooms early to get ready for the next customers, shower glass door did not lock so big flood in the bathroom.

The hotel was very nice, great location for the West end. The staf were very good and the hotel and room were great. The only two things that let it down was that someone at the hotel decided to empty the glass, wine/beer bottles into the wheeled waste bin at 4AM in the morning waking us up. This was followed by some drunken eastern european bloke and his friend kicking in their bedroom door, because they coudn't open it. It transpired they had damaged it so much the door could not be closed/locked. Having used several Thistle hotels in the past this stay was a litle disappointing.

Great location. Bathroom was a bit shabby. Pillows seen better days.
