What an absolute treasure this place is!! The location is perfect in that you’re close enough to all the action if you want it but far enough away to feel the escape of the crowds!! Our room was amazing with 2 bedrooms, a lovely private sitting area and private bath! Breakfast was lovely and served so kindly each morning by our attentive host! We were thrilled and couldn’t have enjoyed our time anymore!! Thank you!!

The room was actually exceptional, even better than the pictures. Good location near old city and and restaurants. Parking was indoor and short walk to B&B.

Fantastic place to stay, especially if you want something out of the ordinary. This B&B is very well attended to, clean, and has a great history that’s written all over everything. The breakfast is lovely and served with care. The parking isn’t on the property and I had a bit of difficulty finding it. All in all, a great place to stay.

First of all, be sure to know that if you rent the “apartment” you will have to go around back on a narrow street and park in the garage. Then use one set of 4 keys to get into your “apartment”. Once you navigate the Mario Brothers set of staircase you will arrive at your destination. The toilet dot not flush, Phillip said you just have to hold the handle down, which just fills the toilet with more water than needed that still won’t go down the drain. (One of us who stayed is a plumber by the way and knows it’s not just because the “building is old”) one morning we tried to go see if there was coffee available at the “B&B” part of the establishment and Phillip was very rude about it saying “coffee was not included in the room rate” and didn’t even look at me when I asked. I felt extremely embarrassed since it was my nephew who booked the room for us. The B&B side is very beautiful and I’m sure nice to stay at but I will not be lodging here again in Quebec City because of the service I received and the difficulty of getting in and out of the “apartment”

The charm, the elegance, the feel of Le Chateau du Faubourg was everything we had hoped it would be—the room was huge, the bed was huge and comfy, the bathroom was just right, the breakfast was superb, and Phillipe was the perfect host.

AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Never did I think when there were no vacancies at one of the large box hotels, that we would luck into having the privilege of staying at the fabulous B & B in the heart of Old Quebec City. The price was right. It was in easy walking distance to all the tourist attractions near the harbor. Plus, there were fantastic cafes, boutiques, etc. on Saint Jean. The French antiques furnish every room. Likely would not be a place you would want to bring young children who want to investigate the beautiful china or antique clocks, but PERFECT for adults!!!! Breakfast was freshly baked croissants (YUM) with jellies, cheeses, ham, cereals, fresh fruit and eggs made to order. Of course, add the French pressed coffee and orange juice. If you arrive early, they hold your luggage and if after you check out, they will also hold your luggage until you need to leave to catch a flight. (Note: There are stairs to climb, but well worth the stay if you are able.)
