First visit and impression
First stay at a Marston Inn, and very pleased. It was clean, well presented. Good sized desk for working at and usb ports beside the bed. Well set up for business travellers. The Inn associated with the accommodation was family orientates. I had a half chicken with two sides, a pint of IPA. Because it was chicken night the bill was less than £10. Stunning value, tasty and very enjoyable. Would I stay with Marston's Inns again. Yes.

my gamston experience
The rooms were excellent and breakfast was excellent, in fact everything was good except the dining tables were not cleaned and the sauce bottles on the tables were grubby.

Lovely Hotel
hotel is lovely and clean, beds are comfortable, WIFI isn't the greatest and you cant get any food in the pub until 12, i think this should be moved to check out time for anyone who has missed breakfast. Staff are all friendly.

Good 6.0
Good location, poor food
Hotel was fine for the price and the location was excellent for the cricket at Trent Bridge (just over a mile to walk but next to a busy road). Where the hotel lets itself down is the very poor quality of the breakfast on day 1 and complete lack of cooked breakfast on day 2 of our stay. Day 1 the food was quite clearly reheated in the microwave. Sausages and bacon dry and shrivelled, baked beans scorching hot. My scrambled egg was one solid lump (sure sign its been microwaved) while the white of my fiancee's poached eggs were mostly liquid. Pastries were overcooked and dry. Day 2 advised on arrival that there was no cooked breakfast as chef had gone home sick. Continental breakfast was available but this basically meant the same overcooked pastries as day before, toast and cereal. No orange juice in the jug, had to ask for plates, croissant was doughy and heavy. Advised hostess that we had already paid for breakfast in our room rate and should just ignored it. Overall experience spoilt by the food,
