Very frustrated
Venue is not bad at all and staff accommodating at check in and bar service.
Sadly that’s all that’s good as it could only be the staff that partied until 4am with the music absolutely blaring so you couldn’t sleep. Having to get up at 5:30 for work I was not at all amused and would never use them again due to this.

The pub below had loud music and pa on till 1155 . I was told there was a quiz on till ten . The lighting to the room from the deck area is poor and a hazard . The room was cold and the street out side was very noisy . Never again for me . Plus no food available, either tea or breakfast. Had ask for milk for the room to make a cup of tea.Or told buy some across the road from the shop .

Frustrating experience with the payment/check-in. Payment was taken by hotels.com three months earlier, but staff checking us in didn't know how to redeem this so asked us to pay it again. She explained this was a common issue, but we were wary and were luckily able to check online banking records to see the payment had been taken. It was a disappointing start to our stay by gaving to message the hotel.com automated helpline to sort this out as staff were rather insistent we pay again.
We were informed upon arrival that there was a party booked in that evening that would end at 2am. We felt that the very least The Dark Horse should have done is contact us before our stay to explain this and give us the option of cancelling and looking for other accommodation.
The access via the external staircase and "roof garden" is not the greatest as you have to fight through pub-goers to get to you room.
The booking suggests there is free parking available, but this was just free parking on nearby (very busy!) streets, so that felt a bit misleading.
The staff member explained they dont use milk sachets (or similar) in the room, yet had loads of single use plastic ear buds in single use plastic wrapping, so their eco measures are counteracted by this.

Our hosts made it very easy for us, with great communication before and throughout our stay. Our room was clean and we had everything we required.
